For years, Subhashini’s job inside global banks was to make millions of decisions better with data: who to lend to, what to offer, where risk was hiding. The models worked. The decisions improved.

Outside the bank, she saw the opposite. A teenager picking a stream because a friend did. A talented analyst stuck because no one showed them what came next. A recruiter sorting a thousand CVs by keyword. The decisions that mattered most to people were still made on guesswork.

So she asked: what if the thinking that sharpens a bank’s decisions could help a student, a professional or a hiring manager?
